About Us

Holder Golf, a family owned business, was formed in 2013 by James Holder to provide a common sense putting solution to what was then a future ban of the anchored putting stroke.  

In the late 1990's James spent several years attempting to earn status on tour.  Though in retrospect he now knows how incredibly difficult that task is (those guys are good!), he credits his lack of success to the fact that under the pressure of competition he couldn’t find a way to make putts.  He tried everything from belly putters to chest anchored putters to a modified grip, but nothing seemed to help.  So after years of frustration, he made the heart wrenching decision to get an actual job.  Several years later while serving as a High School golf coach  James discovered something amazing while playing around with a junior sized 5 iron, the lie angle and length of that junior 5 iron made the putting stroke solid and easily repeatable.  With a professional background in design and manufacturing, he began to develop a putter around that premise. The result of that is the RESET line of Grips and Putters.

After a year of product and production development, HolderGolf.com was launched in 2014

 
Proudly we are a corporation based in the United States (Spartanburg, SC) with our putter heads milled, our grips molded, our shafts manufactured, and the final product assembled in the United States. We also support local Christian charities and our local church, donating a portion of our gross sales to deserving entities like these.
