Fitting Guide
Please note that it is very difficult to design a fitting guide that can take into consideration the differences between body types and postures that individual golfers have. Our putters, by design, tend to play shorter than traditional putters, so if one of our fitting methods fits you for a 33" putter but the traditional putter you have played with and are comfortable with is 34", you may want to take that into consideration before you order, and order a longer Holder Golf putter. The below reference guides are simply what we've found to be a good rule-of-thumb for most players.
To make sure we get you the right length putter, we have three fitting methods to chose from:
1. We have a simple interactive fitting guide that will guide you through a few simple questions:
2. For the no-frills type, we have a simple chart:
3. And for those who like a little hands-on measuring, try this:
Grab a 5 or 6 iron from your bag and set up to a ball as if you are preparing to hit a full shot. Choke down on the shaft of the iron as far as you feel comfortable while maintaining a natural set-up (for most that will be at the very bottom of the grip). Once you find a comfortable stance that allows for a solid putting stroke, measure from the heel of the iron, up the shaft to the top of your hands. That measurement should be the length you want for a Holder Golf Putter.
And of course, we are always available at service@holdergolf.com if you have any questions.
We offer 33", 34" and 35" as standard lengths, and 31", 32", 36" and 37" as custom lengths. Custom lengths are available in limited styles for an additional cost and lead time.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The whole premise behind this putter is to lower your hands. It has been our experience that many of the players who do not find success with our putter are those who order a putter that is more than an inch longer than what we recommend in this fitting guide. This guide isn't perfect, but if you're shorter than 6'3" and are ordering a 37" putter, we highly recommend that you reconsider your choice.
